Sundance 2020
This year’s festival topped all others, films such as Charm City Kings, Once Upon a Time in Venezuela, Dinner in America, and Save Yourselves were my personal favorites of the year. Once Upon a Time in Venezuela (featured above) was an absolutely gorgeous ride through the Congo during a difficult time in local government. Charm City Kings, is now one of the tops on my favorites, in which it follows a heartfelt journey through boys’ lives in Baltimore. Lastly, my other two festival favorites are the comedies. Save Yourselves is a hilarious take on the modern relationship during a time of crisis (aka Alien Attack). Lastly is my new top film of the year which is Dinner in America, this film is a rollercoaster. From dynamic emotional problems among characters to witty Edgar wright intros, this movie has it all. This year I saw 11 films up in Park City Utah which is way better than last years 3.
